Color scanning provides a more authentic reproduction of an original document, and can bring out details that may not be picked up with monochrome or grayscale output. The fi-4340C can detect light pencil marks, dark highlighted text and even faint imprinted watermarks, all in a single pass. For the ultimate in flexibility, the duplex document feeder supports paper sizes as small as 2.1" x 2.9" and as large as 8.5" x 14". The 100-page ADF can be continuously fed without stopping the scan process to maximize efficiency. To improve productivity, the dual CCDs scan both sides at once while the automatic page-end detection saves file space. Easily configured through the scanner's control panel or software configuration, the fi-4340C can automatically dropout red, green or blue. The scanner's dual CCDs can be configured to drop out different colors on the front and back with just one setting, with no lamp changes required.
