NIKON D60 DSLR Camera Kit with extras2008-06-28
I purchased this item after A LOT of research and looking....LOTS OF LOOKING! Nikon is a supreme camera - and i am a Leica girl my self....but just can't quite get the 1,000's++ together for that!
This kit is perfect for a photographer that needs the 2 basic lens, with the lens filters and extra batteries. I also purchased a 8GIG SD card separately. It would have been great if there was a wide angle lens in this kit as well!
I choose the D60 because it was a bit smaller and lighter as my hand is small, so i could grasp it better. I went to a local camera store to try out all the models and this was the best. 10.1 MegaPixels is a plus for any photographer - you have the option to save your best shots for printing and then reduce the res. for the web.....always good to shoot at the highest resolution. There is an option for shooting RAW images as well which is great! The D60 is far better than the D40 or the 40X, IMHO! The bigger cameras were just too big and heavy and i would not like to carry it around. This camera is light and i do carry it around with me everywhere i go.
The camera is awesome - included was all the kit accessories - so i was good to go right out of the box....i juiced up all the batteries and went shooting away!!!
I was a little leary of buying a bundled kit online like this - but there was the guarantee and the usual warranties....All the accessories came in the manufacturers packaging and was new. The pricing of the this was equal to what i was looking at in the stores - but for the body only!!! this is a great deal.....
Cameta's service was excellent - the packaging was excellent and i received it in record time. They even contacted me to make sure my package arrived and if everything was OK....now that is service!!!
i would recommend this bundle for serious photographers and buy your own case, that would suit you. you can always pick up SD cards and i prefer the well known name brands, over knock offs.
For big purchases such as this - i am very slow to buy - but once i made the decision and have had it for over a month - i am very pleased and you will be pleased to if you are considering this product.
