Awesome camera, but Amazon + UPS disappointing2009-01-08
Camera responds well, focuses well and feels great. With just using the standard lens kit, I was able to see a huge difference than my previous camera (Canon S5 IS). The quality is amazing!

Yes, this review does criticize Amazon and UPS since this is where the camera came from.

The camera qualified for free 5-7 day shipping, but I paid for 2-3 day shipping because I wanted it on New Years Eve. It took 6 days to get here AFTER New Years Day. Shame on Amazon. I expected that from UPS, but not Amazon. Yes, it's both companies fault by not communicating. If the New Years holiday was a problem, then it should have been stated instead of me wasting money on shipping.

This is an excellent camera. It is as easy to use as any point and shoot camera. It takes GREAT pictures. I was able to take great pictures on the first day I used it(Christmas)Once I read the manual and loaded the software I realized just how much more this camera can do, I am a beginer with a SLR camera and had several point and shoot cameras prior to the Rebel. This is a good camera for a beginer (ease of use) and great to grow into.
