Good camera for the price2008-12-30
This is a good camera for the price. Of course, I had to buy mine about a year ago when the price was $200, now that its down to $100 its even better for the price.
Pros: great zoom, large screen, easy to navigate menu (you just have to read the manual when you first get it), decent megapixels, durable (I've dropped it several times with only a couple scratches on the top of the camera).
Cons: No sound playback. It records sound, but has no built-in speaker to replay it on your camera. No built-in rechargeable battery. You must buy AA's for the camera, and even then the video recording drains the life so quickly. I'd advise you to buy rechargeable AA batteries (around $20). Camera is a little bulky. It's more expensive brother is 10x zoom, and is thinner!
I'm 14, was 13 when I got it for my birthday. I'm entering a photography contest with a photo taken with this camera, although I'm looking to sell it and buy a better one. I'm really disappointed to see it only sells for $85, when I paid $200!
Best point and shoot!2008-12-10
I've been loyal to Canon products for some time. This is a far better cam than any of the point and shoot cams I've had from Canon (and those are easily twice the price of this $199 Lumix). I didn't buy here, so I got it cheaper. Still, at $300, this would be a better buy than the $500+ Canon cam I have....just not as compact. Other than being the size of a cigarette pack (large to me), the USB cable is not the more readily available type, and the AA batts are not as robust as a Canon batt pack. Image stabilization puts this way over any other Sony or Canon cam I've used, not to mention the superior 6x Lieca optics. You just don't get that anywhere else, AND it's a bargain price.
Digital Camera2008-11-29
Wonderful digital camera by Panasonic gives beautiful pictures with many features to offer excellent clear quality photos. I love this camera & it works well with high end digital cards. Its compact features offer the ability to carry it with you where ever you go... I highly recommend this camera! Panasonic provides excellent quality that very few makers can offer at this price!
Great Camera2008-11-09
Got this for my girlfriend for our anniversary, she absolutely loved it. We had two friend's weddings to go to that weekend and it was perfect for it. So many cameras only have 3 zoom, it was nice to have 6 to get shots further away. The delay between shots is kinda slow but besides that its a great camera, and at a great price.
mom love's it!2008-10-21
My Mom just loves this camera.I bought this camera for her birthday. She has found it very easy to use and loves the picture quality. I own a lumix TZ3 and I love it over my old Canon digital. The picture quality is great. I never saw the camera in this review because I had it sent directly to my mom. But she's very happy and taking lots of pictures. I would say it's a great camera for an 72 year old or anyone to start out on. And the price was great for the quality of photos and camera you get. The only thing I would caution is the LCD is only 2 or 2 1/2".

A Quick Look At the Professional Digital Camcorder
Introduction Professional digital camcorders are better than your analog camcorder, or even your digital video camera. The advancements that have been made in the camcorder industry are amazing. Just like everything else they keep getting more and more advanced, and shrinking in size. Even though we have seen much advancement, the price keeps getting more and more affordable. Professionals are not the only ones who can now enjoy the wonderful benefits of a professional -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A professional digital camcorder allows creativity and quality to meet, and the cost is far lower than it was only a few years ago. Even in the late 1990's most professionals were using Betamax professional quality analog recorders, though the professional digital camcorder was starting to come into its own back then. In 1997 at a press conference in Roswell, New Mexico during the 50th anniversary of the historic alleged UFO crash ...
Driving with a cell phone is a lot less dangerous than driving on prescription drugs
There's a lot of debate today about the safety of using cell phones while driving. Statistics show that those who use cell phones while driving cause a much greater percentage of accidents than those who avoid using their cell phones. And the studies have shown that it's not just the physical coordination required to punch numbers into the cell phone while you're trying to work the vehicle that causes accidents; it's actually the lack of attention resulting from driving and talking on the cell phone at the same time. It seems that when you're distracted, you're more likely to cause accidents. In terms of public safety, it's probably correct to say that banning cell phones would reduce the number of traffic accidents. But I think, more accurately, it depends on the person. Some people are operating on, shall we say, lower power CPUs in their heads to begin with. They might be zoned out on prescription drugs, and when you add a cell phone to the equation, they do become a danger to the ...
